Chevrolet Camaro First Generation

Intro

The Chevrolet Camaro first generation was introduced for the 1967 model year and had a lasting impact on the automotive industry. It was a pony car that was designed to compete with the Ford Mustang, a highly successful vehicle of its time. The Camaro was available in both coupe and convertible body styles, with two different engine options: either a 6-cylinder or an 8-cylinder. Its exterior design featured a long hood, short rear deck, dual round headlamps and twin tail lamps.

Specs

The interior featured bucket seats, console-mounted shift lever and an array of gauges including speedometer, tachometer and fuel gauge. The first generation Camaro offered performance features like power steering, power brakes and Rally Sport trim package which included special handling suspension system. With its combination of style and performance, the Chevy Camaro made an impressive debut that has continued to influence generations of cars since its introduction.

Is an automobile  manufactured by General Motors under the Chevrolet brand, classified as a pony(Is an American class of automobile launched and inspired by the Ford Mustang in 1964) car an some versions also as a mucle car(Is a term used to refer to a variety of high-performance automobiles). It went on sale on september 29, 1966, for the 1967 model year and was designed as a competing model to the  Ford Mustang.

Four distinct generations of the Camaro were developed before production ended in 2002. The nameplate was revived on a concept car that evolved into the fifth-generation Camaro.

The chevelle was a mid-sized automobile produced by the Chevrolet division of General Motors in three generation fot the 1964 through 1977 model years. The chevelle was one of Chevrolet´s most successful nameplates.

Body styles incluide coupes, sedans, convertibles, station wagons and pick up(El Camino). SS(Super Sport) versions were produced though the 1973 model year, and Lagunas from 1973 through 1976. After a three year absence, the El Camino was reintroduced as part of the new Chevelle lineup. The Chevelle also provided the plataform for the Monte Carlo introduced in 1970. The Malibu, the top of the line model through 1972, replaced the Chevelle nameplate for the redesigned, downsized 1978 models.
